“Nestled amid the strings, but raised so her sound projected, Jakuc was able to forge an intimate partnership with the orchestra, creating an atmosphere of chamber music ebb and flow in the unfolding of the piece. The jaunty, swinging final rondo was particularly compelling- Jakuc approached each return of Mozart’s cheery theme in a slightly different character, and practically struck fire from her keys in a wildly tearing final cadenza.”
